1. Analysis and Pre-Production
Turning a concept into an animated movie begins with by having our medical illustrators
draft an animation storyboard. Spending time to thoroughly research your subject
and determine the best way to communicate your key points is an important first
step.
2. Production
After the flow of the story has
been detailed, the next step is to begin production by creating and assembling the
necessary 3d models. We often pull models from our original and expansive BioDigital
Human anatomy and disease library. We can merge an anatomy model from our library
with an industrial model of your device or product.
The major stages of Production include:
- Modeling
- Animation
- Texturing
- Lighting and Rendering
3. Post-Production & Delivery
Once the animation has been rendered out of the 3d software, we then import it into
our video editing and compositing software to add in labels, effects, and additional
animation. During this stage, we usually record and edit a voiceover and sync it
to the visuals. Sometimes other audio elements and background music is added. On
delivery of the final animation, we will provide you with the various formats needed
for Broadcast, PowerPoint, CD/DVD, and mobile and then our IT staff can assist with
deployment as needed.
