   Greetings!
Welcome to the inaugural issue of Vital InsightTM, your complete resource for the latest in scientific & medical visualization.

We at BioDigital Systems are commited to bringing you the best and most advanced methods for understanding complex biotechnology and medical concepts in a clear and concise manner. Enjoy!
Scientific Animation used for Investor Groups
Scientifically accurate 3D animation is being used as a vastly more effective means of communicating cutting-edge new drugs, procedures, and therapies to investor relation groups. Compared to traditional flat media and presentations, visual solutions such as animation have proven to reduce the time needed to grasp complex scientific subjects from hours to minutes.

Recently, biotech company Boston Life Sciences has benefited from the use of 3D animation to visualize their new imaging agent during presentations, on the web, and the evening news.

3D Facial Reconstructions used to Identify Crime Victims
The Boston Police Department in conjunction with BioDigital just recently finished one of the world's first completed digital remains reconstruction. "Police found the remains of a woman in her late 20's or early 30's stuffed in a chimney in Boston. They were left with hardly any clues as to the woman's identity and who may have killed her. In fact, no one came forward to tell police they were missing a loved one. And, a check of known missing person's cases yielded nothing. And, with very little tissue left on her decomposed body, authorities couldn't do DNA testing. From the remains, medical examiners could determine that the person was between 25-35 years old and very petite, standing at about 5'2". She was most likely Caucasian and/or an Hispanic mix. Armed with that information, police turned to Greg Mahoney -- an expert in facial reconstruction at the Boston PD." - AMW

Greg was able to create 3D images of what the woman may have looked like and BioDigital aided in the case by providing the most realistic rendering scenarios possible to show what the woman may have looked like while she was alive. Now, police are hoping that someone will recognize this woman and come forward with information. The images, animation and the complete story were featured on the America's Most Wanted national TV episode on Saturday, September 23, 2006.

Medical Visualization Expo to be held at Apple Store SoHo
Come and join the experts at BioDigital Systems as they demonstrate the latest techniques used for creating 3D medical animations and inner human body visualization at the Apple Store in SoHo Manhattan on Wednesday, November 8th at 6pm. Please click here for Directions to the Apple Store.

BioDigital Systems uses the latest in cutting-edge technology to create the most scientifically accurate, exacting biomedical visualizations and simulations available. We'll be demonstrating some of our latest project work which includes Virtual Surgery & Brain-slice reconstruction. See you there!
